Due to a sore right knee, New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey was sat out the practice for the third consecutive day. he was listed as doubtful for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Shockey couldn't make Friday's final full workout after also sitting out Wednesday and Thursday's sessions.Shockey, an eight-year veteran from Miami, had three catches for 36 yards and one touchdown in last week's divisional playoff victory over the Arizona Cardinals, but he hurt the knee on the 17-yard TD reception. During the season, he had 48 receptions for 569 yards and three scores. Another tight end who has wonderful action for the Saints, contributed 35 passes this season, but he had no receptions against the Cardinals last week.
There are also other players with saints jerseys missed the practice.

Lewis named top coach
Lewis awards the The Associated Press 2009 NFL Coach of the Year for leading his team to the playoffs during a season marked by tragedy. He may has much to do more than game plans.
The Bengles got the AFC North with a 10-6 record which was their second division title since 1990. And both of them are under Lewis. They did so despite the deaths of wide reciver Chris Henry and Vikki Zimmer, the wife of defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer. Several players' families were affected by the tsunami in the Samoan Islands. So it's so difficult to hold his team tightly under such circumstances. But he made it.
"I'm flattered," said Lewis, whose seventh season as Bengals coach ended with a 24-14 home loss to the Jets in the wild-card round. "I never took any credibility to it, that it could occur, but I am flattered. I would trade it to still be playing. All the players with the bengals jerseys supported him.

Cowboys plays in loud Metrodome
Cowboys linebacker Keith Brooking would not forget the loudest game played in Minnesota’s Metrodome. The victory of the game sent his team to the Super Bowl.
So they are ready when they know th sencond trip to Minnesota. “We have pretty good experience facing a hostile crowd,” Brooking said. “The way you have to handle the situation is, obviously, you can’t allow them to get the momentum going early in the game. You’ve got to go for their heart. If you can put a little doubt in their minds in the beginning, that can go a long way. … But we’ve got to be ready for a 3 1/2 -hour battle and fight to the end.” The fans are so crowded and they even put a sign on the board that reads: “Quiet. Offense at work.”
Whether these visitors with dallas cowboys jerseys can handle it or not, we will wait and see.

Early Doucet comes back home
Early Doucet with No.80 ardinals jersey had played in the Superdome and helped the Louisiana State to the 2007 national title.
On Saturday, Doucet will be back as a part of the the Cardinals, so the one-time hero become a villain. But Doucet does not think so.“It’s not going to be weird, actually,” said Doucet, a product of St. Martinville, La. “I’m going to have some good memories. The last time I played there was for a college national championship, and I did real well. So hopefully I can go back there and have a repeat performance and have our team get a victory.” Hope Doucet plays like he did last week and have a nice homecoming.

Arizona’s shaky defense
The Cardinals’ defense won the huge game against the Packers to 51-45.
It is the highest-scoring game in NFL playoff history--with its strong reputation heading to the divisional playoff game at New Orleans on Saturday. The defense is perceived as a weakness that could well prevent the Cardinals from a return trip to the Super Bowl. “It’s not going to always be a defensive struggle. It’s not going to always be a one-sided game,” defensive end Bertrand Berry said after Tuesday’s workout. “Sometimes you have to win a shootout. The main thing about this is win and move on. We did that, so regardless of what people want to think, they can watch us be a bad defense next week, too.”
They may do not have enough time to think about what goes wrong but after watching the film, those players with cardinals jerseys would know what they need to correct.

Mike Zimmer stays in Bengles
NFL.com’s Steve Wyche reports that Mike Zimmer has signed with the Bengles for a three-year contract as their defensive coordinator.
It is said that Zimmer who was in the Bengles for two seasons had been choosen for the same position in Washington under new coach Mike Shanahan. Zimmer became the third defensive coordinator under Marvin Lewis, who has led the Bengals to the playoffs twice during his seven seasons as head coach.
Now the dust is settled. Bengles extended the deal with Zimmer who will also there to coach the players with bengals jerseys
